Western Newfoundland

Iconic Walks

An Incredible Journey

From Start to Finish

On the first day, unearthly is the word that comes readily to mind when describing the walk. Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the Tablelands, where the earth’s mantle has been thrust up like nowhere on earth, allowing us to roam on a mountain which should be kilometres deep under the ocean. This geological classroom has a view like no other, as you overlook the fishing towns along the shores of Bonne Bay.

On the last day of the vacation, we take a coastal walk as we trace the cliffs along the Atlantic- last chance to fill your lungs with sea air. Then, sadly, back to reality. Look at the bright side – you have better vacation stories than any of your friends!
